Wake up call. Every single time.

Am I the only one who loves this smell?

These aren't lavender but they sure are pretty.

So I tried to act all photographer-like with them. Keyword: tried, act

This is the place I have a love-hate relationship with. My grandmother's house. Everytime we arrive, I know, I'm in for desert like weather and unlimited supply of food I cannot resist. Trust me, you cannot go through the day without aircon or a cold shower. Why is the weather there so different from anywhere else? I wish I knew. Anyone care to explain? It's a small village, 10 minutes drive away from Sepang.

And it's not like there aren't any plants around. Coconut trees, oil palm trees, you name it they got it.

More plants. Good for your eyes. Thank me later.

My CNY was... like that lo. You know, just another week of junk food binge eating. I bet everyone misses the CNY they had as a kid, lots of running around, firecrackers, and friends to play with! .. I know I do. *cries out loud for growing up

Anyway, if you're actually hoping for pictures of humans (eg: ME!!!), that'll come later. Don't want to pollute the pretty pictures above with pictures of me showing you stupid faces in my cheongsam.

I'm currently spending the rest of my CNY Malacca btw, and it sure is JAM all the way here. Phew.

Best Night Ever!

Hi guys! So I'm sure you've seen my sloggi Girls' Night on sloggigirlsnight.com. My girls and I had a great time, hope you guys did too!

Money Matters!

I'm sure as college students, or even young working adults, one matter will always be a problem to us and that is money. Need to buy new things? Money. Need to hang out with friends? Money. It's tough going into the adult world where we have to be reponsible for everything in our life especially the financial part.

So HOW????! How can we spend less and earn more money?? Not all of us has the knowledge in investing and we deifinitely don't want to stop hanging out with friends or buying new things just to save up!

Well I myself have some advice for you, take a look at those little things in your life. Can you change it in any way? Instead of buying one Starbucks a day, why don't you make your own coffee? That itself saves you up to RM500 a month! Whoa! That's right, those are the little things you never realize that are making your money disappear.

Here's a short video I made on how to change some little habits of your daily life that can save you plenty of money! *thanks Sherry for the video edits!*

Pretty cool right? Try it out for a month and see the big difference it makes in your finance!

While we were waiting for the clock to strike 12, here's what the outside looked like:

More and MORE people! Guess everyone was really excited for the 4S!

Finally it was time! 12AM sharp and the hall opened for collection!

So many counters and so many people. But Maxis was really efficient, the lines went quick and soon everyone was leaving with a brand new iPhone 4S in their hands!

Just look at all their happy faces! When will it be your turn??

Besides collection, the hall also provide plenty of customer experience for us.

Ready-to-assist staffs were everywhere, guaranteeing there will be no confusion. But the iPhone 4S is so user friendly I doubt there will be any anyway!

There were also accessories stalls, from covers to headphones to speakers to decorative elements, EVERYTHING you need for your iPhone 4S! I bought some really cute decorative buttons for my iPhone 4 :)

Huai Bin was there throughout the night too, great catching up with you again! :)

Also did I mention there was a free flow of popcorns and drinks all night for everyone? I know right, awesome overload.

The Coziest Place to be

I like all things girly.

and most of all I like all things comfy!

For the above reasons, I've decided to host a slumber party!!! Not just any slumber party but a Sloggi Girls' Night party! Not to mention competing for the Sloggi’s Sassiest Girl title at the same time.

And since I'm such a "flluffy" person (even my blog description calls me a bunny), my Sloggi Girls' Night will be based on the theme Cozy Cuddly! Ooooh you can start picturing fluffy pillows and feathers flying all over the room now.

I know I know, most slumber parties are such let-downs (I myself been to a few). But not this one! This party is going to be what you really think it is! So let me do you a favor and put that smile back on your face.

That calls for a Carlsberg!

There was a party last weekend.... But where was the party??? That's right! Carlsberg Where's The Party happened again! 12 hours of non-stop fun woohoo!

Party people gathered at Stadium Shah Alam at noon.

The crowd was massive and all excited as we didn't know where the Carlsberg buses would be taking us to party! What a way to create hype! Registration was done and each guest received an RFID tag, this tag has a code or chip inside that identifies you so you can collect points from games and even have your pictures taken and uploaded on Facebook straight away by the Carlsberg team!

Boarded the bus and had the curtains on to further intensify the suspense. After a while, our host announced that we've arrived at our party place. We were all like, "Wha....??? So fast?!"

Turned out the mysterious place was..... *drumrolls*.. The Carlsberg Brewery itself! That means we wouldn't have to worry about beer supply running out! p/s: It was drizzling, thus the raincoat.

At first this didn't look like a party place, more like a fun fair but wait till you see the scenes afterwards.

But I was already happy enough as I love fun fairs! Free amusement park rides for us all!

That day I was like, "Okay I'm ready to #foreveralone at a party for the first time.." because I went there alone and didn't know who else would be there.

But when several #foreveralones come together, here you have a pack of party people! Met the other Nuffnang and Churp Churp representatives and stuck with them like glue afterwards. *Thou shalt not be #foreveralone* From left, Jenq, Jimmy, Ernest, Joel and yours truly.

Amazing how a brewery can be transformed into such an exciting place to party!

First we stepped into the food fair which was more or less like a pasar malam. Free flow of nasi lemak, finger food, ice cream, satay, kaya balls, popcorn, hotdogs and the list goes on. Hungry people rejoice!

and do I even need to tell you that there was free flow of Carlsberg beer the entire time. Drink like there's no tomorrow but of course, don't drive later :P

Bumped into these 2 lovely ladies! Rachel and Jamie.

Next we decided to have some fun at the amusement park.

There were plenty of games for us to collect points but we were all acting macho so we didn't try them hurhurhur.

We went for this though! A seemingly tame pirate ship but in reality it was hella scary. How can a small pirate ship like this be so scary T__T My head was down the entire time.

There was also this awesome hot air balloon thing. Notice there was no basket attached? YOU are the basket hahaha! I really wanted to try it but errr wasn't feeling brave that day and the line was unbelievably long okay so it wasn't just because I was scared. *denial*

So we turned to less scary activities such as being amused by a magician..

and plotting how to make the clown on stilts trip. Kidding! We are such nice people, wouldn't do such thing, right right right???

After a couple hours, our feet weren't feeling so energized anymore. But fret not!

There was even a foot massage booth! Now we can really party all night long!!

When night falls, the party finally began!

Party people ready for it!

First up was a performance by the genius beatboxer, Shawn Lee. Really got the crowd in the mood!

Then, surprise surprise! A collaboration between Shawn Lee and the legendary violinist, Dennis Lau. Beatboxing and electric violin makes such an awesome combination!

Patricia and Joey G emceed for the night! Need I say more? Those 2 really know how to get a party started!

Guys love the camera too! So it's not just girls, stop stereotyping!

Some others I bumped into that night was Sam! Somehow we always always always bump into each other at events and parties and only that. Why have I not bump into you shopping or something before eh, party animal Sam!

Also, Shiang Leit whom I've not seen since high school days!

One of my favorite performance of the night, High on Heels! Those sexy ladies know their stuffs!

More surprises, HOMAIGAWD IS THAT AN AIR SWIMMER???! Yes it is! Carlsberg really loves the surprise element it seemed. Haha the air swimmer got everyone going oooh and aaah. It ended up on a tree at the end of the night though -_- I should pilot it!

There was a carousel that night and I was like "OOOH I want I want I want!" but the guys were like "No no no no no."

But I went ahead anyway. Yay for merry go round!!!

Greater surprises! At midnight 10 lok lok trucks came in. Yes that's right, TEN! Everyone suddenly turned on their hooligan mood and surrounded the trucks like they're made of gold! I mean, who wouldn't want free flow lok lok right?? Attack!!!!

Before leaving, we headed down to the redemption area to exchange the points we earned from playing games with limited edition goodies! I definitely need a souvenir from this great event.

But I didn't play enough games so I only got a Carlsberg bottle opener. Not bad though! Now I won't have any problems with my Carlsberg bottles.

Carlsberg instilled the "Drink Responsibly" attitude in their consumers. Encouraging us to take the breathalyzer test(yes they had that at the event!!) and to not drive home if we drank past the limit. Needless to say, we all drank past the limit so what we did was follow the bus, car pool or take a cab home.

That's right, a happy moment calls for a Carlsberg but remember to drink responsibly as well! You won't want a great night to turn out not-so-great!

So now I'm going to take some time and reevaluate. Thus this week is officially the Thank You Week (26-31 December)!

Next time, instead of just driving past the guard house in a hurry like I always do, I'll stop for a while and just wish the guards happy holidays and of course thank them for keeping our housing area safe! Same goes to the cleaners and the rest!

Most of all, I guess sometimes we tend to forget people closest to us. So here I would like to wish and thank these people in my life,

The Xmas Night

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from me to you!! *much loves*

Hope you guys spent your Christmas with your loved ones awesomely. This year I didn't do much, just a casual dinner with friends and second round dinner (sorry Stomach, it's just for Christmas. And New Year. And Chinese New Year.) with the love.

I had my first round dinner in Empire so after that he took me for second round in Empire Hotel itself. Christmas buffet dinner time! (Once again, sorry stomach.)

The boy surprised me with a bouquet of roses too. I don't know why but maybe it has something to do with me whining and complaining whole day regarding what my Christmas presents are and where they at. HEHEHEHEHEHE.

He actually sneaked that box into my bag about half an hour ago when we were digesting my first dinner at Starbucks. But well I never found it because inside my bag was another universe altogether. I can never find things in there. So at dinner he had to ask me several times whether I found something before I finally go and look for something in my bag.

Speaking of Christmas, I don't exactly celebrate Christmas but giving presents is just a way I show appreciation to my family and friends. So there!

And presents I received:

The second bottle of perfume Ernie gave me this year. He must really think I stink hahahaha. Thankyou Ernie, love it!

This was given to me so that we can battle it out hahahaha.

I know the amount of presents given out and received is seriously toppling on one side but that's because I'm #foreveralone and friendless T___T Hahaha just kidding, enjoy your holidays!

I know this so too cliche but, man, how time flies.

Here's to our 1st anniversary.

One year back when we were both skinnier lol.

Surprisingly enough, when it comes to things like this normally I would have a few paragraphs of emotional words and rants but not this time round. So you guys are spared from those.

Back to the story, on the day of out anniversary we were at Malacca and he took me to this restaurant Olio in Renaissance Hotel.

Olio serves comfort Italian food. That sounds bad for the body figure, lol.

But it's okay, what can ONE monster meal do to you anyway right?? *self comforts*

If Italiannies have their signature rosemary bread, I guess Olio have their signature olive bread then. Pretty good stuff, I don't mind just having this as appetizer, main course and dessert. No really, I'm a sucker for carbs.

Grilled Calamari, alongside with slow roast tomatoes, grilled egg plant, olives, garlic and balsamic vinaigrette. Don't I sound so food blogger-ish? HAHA I copied that straight off the menu.

This was my favorite dish of the day. Best soup ever, Salmon, Leek and Potato Cream. Super creamy and the best cooked salmon I've ever had. Not even exaggerating here. Usually I avoid cooked salmon because it makes the nice salmon-y taste disappears, rather stick to raw or smoked ones. But THIS is awesome, the taste is still in tact, tasted exactly like smoked salmon in fact. Ooooooh loving it.

Zuppa con un misto di frutti di mare. Bet you can't guess it's English name in a million years unless you Google it. It's actually mixed seafood soup AKA tomyam soup without the spicyness hahaha.

Main dish of the day: Turkey Roulade served with roast potatoes, garlic vegetables and cranberry sauce. At this point I was so full from all the soup and bread I couldn't enjoy it to it's maximum potential. The turkey ham was really good though and I think I just had a new found love with roasted vegetables. So juicy and taste preserved.

So freaking full I couldn't even enjoy my favorite part of the meal, DESSERT! This is the Festive Cassata, in conjunction of the holiday season. Served with mix berries compote.

Approaching Christmas means one thing to me.. Got to start preparing the Christmas gifts! I personally don't celebrate Christmas but I love being a part of the giving community. That's one of the greatest joy people can get from Christmas.

Anyway, as usual I went shopping alone for gifts. I really do enjoy shopping alone at times because I get to play around by pretending to be someone else. I mean since nobody knows me right I'm just "an innocent looking girl shopping for her loved ones" or I might be "a picky bitch buying things for herself" or even "the most calculative auntie that came from kampung" or my favorite "filthy rich spoilt brat who doesn't care about price". HAHA YES! Using different personalities in different shops, that's pretty fun for me.

So couple days ago I was shopping alone like that in Sunway Pyramid. Looking for birthday gifts and Christmas gifts. And this just had to happen to me. I ran out of small change for the parking ticket, I even drove to 3 different autopay machines but non of them want to accept my coins and 50 bucks note. So in the end I went and buy unnecessary muffins from Kenny Rogers just to obtain small change.

Seriously a bad idea because I finish them all in the traffic jam back home.

Hello. Please don't get too excited. This is just another lazy post I'm so so sorry T___T don't hate me.

Right after I'm done with my finals this Friday, I will give you many many quality posts with nice pictures! Really I promise.. no, I commit to this statement! Because broken promises are too common, but nothing will undermine your reputation faster than a broken commitment. Right right right???! Don't I sound all witty and philosophical? Hehe (I copied that quote online lol)

So study mode ON right??

Not so fast! I have many conditions if I were to ON my study mode. I cannot study just like that anywhere anytime. These are the conditions to be fulfilled:

Must be a coffeehouse no less, I think the smell of coffee inspires me -.-
The place cannot be too warm or too cold.
Not too bright not too dark.
Not too noisy and crowded. This is why I avoid Starbucks Taipan during exam season. Too many people and noises.
Cancer sticks area. Just for study week I'm sorry. Inspiration.
Face must not have make up on, hair must be tied up. Glasses optional.

Also, Study Week = Fatty Week thanks to those tempting sugar-n-fat-in-a-cup.

Maybelline NY Fashion Week

Maybelline NY Malaysia had their fashion week last week at MidValley Megamall and I was invited there by Maybelline and Nuffnang.

Arrived there slightly later than I should so I got a seat at the back, but still a good view. Maybelline NY was about to showcase their latest trends inspired by NY Fashion Week 2011. I seriously salute the host of the day(as seen above) because he can wear heels and walks stylishly in it! If only more guys learn to wear heels... Then perhaps they'll know the pain us girls go through everytime we do and stop pressuring us into wearing heels.

Gorgeous organizers that I believe have put in so much time and effort in making the event a success. Thank you!

I suggest you watch from 4:10 onwards but otherwise, watch the entire video for the most interesting yet accurate synopsis of Twilight.

How was Breaking Dawn for you? For me it was better than the previous Twilight movies but if compared to other movies out there. Seriously.... meh. Too much slow motion, pointless staring, and shallow plot. I mean, really? Did I just spent 2 hours watching a wedding, honeymoon, pregnancy and giving birth? Damn right I did.

There were only 2 things I like from Breaking Dawn:

1) The back of Bella's wedding dress

2) Christina Perri's song

3) Kristen Stewart looking hot

4)Robert Pattinson

Well, he doesn't look as good looking as he did in previous Twilight movies but I like him more and more now, probably because of these:

Hello. My name is Melaleuca Original and I'm Shinyee's shampoo. Doesn't my name sound sophisticated? Melaleuca. It actually means tea tree, just in its scientific name. See, this is what I'm expertized at. Using scientific names to replace common ones so that people will perceive me as professional and high in quality. Let me show you.

See, when I want to list 'water' as my ingredient, I don't just say 'water'. I say 'aqua'. Sounds more sophisticated don't you think? While most people probably knows what aqua actually is, I bet they don't know these:

Melaleuca Alternifolia (this I told you)
Triticum Vulgare
Helianthus Annuus
Citrus Grandis

Well?

Unless you're a chemist or scientist, you'll have a hard time figuring it out. See? By listing down those ingredients in their scientific terms makes me seem smarter than you doesn't it? So now you'll have more confidence in using me.

I'm the type who likes to do some 'light reading' in the toilet. Read: picks up whatever bottle I can reach and reads the tiny words behind. One fine day, I MADE THE DISCOVERY ABOVE MUAHAHAHA. Now I have the urge to read every shampoo's ingredient list and translate them into common language, never know what I might find hmmmm.

Anyhow, I learned some scientific terms from my hobby haven't I? Yay!

Sorry I got to jump on you with this one. Haha! Don't wear my spectacles often these days. If I'm not wrong, I never posted a picture of me in specs here before. As you can see, my irises are actually really small.... There goes a secret.

Well, eyes are not very well these days, got to use them specs more often.

Fun fact: The next time you go to The Gardens/Midvalley Megamall, try to catch a glimpse of your reflection in one of the building. If I'm not wrong it's before the main entrance of Gardens Hotel. One particular angle shrinks your car into uh.. like above. Annoyingly cute really, no matter what car you're driving. I can haz a mini car!

Food fact: Alexis serves the best tiramisu till this date. Just looking at it makes me crave for it again. Ahhhh.. I can eat this everyday, accompanied by a cup of coffee.

More Alexis food which I'm not interested in. The scallops are gone before I get to take a picture. Same goes to the 'kiap-kiaps'. (I really don't know what to call them. Doesn't look like crab. Too small to be lobster too.)

Every time I dine at Bubba Gump, I always have that strong urge to watch Forrest Gump again. The last time I watched that movie was I think almost a decade ago but it had an impact so strong I remembered it till this date. That's how meaningful it was to me.

My eyes! They burn!

Really, if you've seen me recently you'd noticed my constant red eye. Probably catching an infection soon(CHOI CHOI CHOI!!!). My eyes are red and dry from lack of rest and the strain I put on them. Gosh you don't know how difficult it is to cram 10 chapters in 24 hours time. Repeatedly for a couple of weeks. ~~Not to mention endless assignme~~

Heehee. Think you've heard that a little too often already. Sooo... let's see, what else has been going on lately besides books and word documents??

Colored my hair. My hair has always been colored but this time I tried a different shade...

Errr, I don't know. It looks like a dark crimson red sometimes..

The rest of the time it looks like its on fire.....

Bottom line is... NAY. Going back to being a brunette the next time, no more redheads. Don't really suit me somehow. Darn you Lindsay Lohan and Marcia Cross for looking so gorgeous in red. Guess I'll have stick with "Brunettes have more fun" then. And no I'm definitely not going blonde, nuh uh.

Plus my hair has become uncontrollably drier after the hell I've put them through these few weeks. Eeks.

What's humanity?

So angered by the recent Yueyue case. You guys might known it as the "Ran over little girl and ignorant passerby's in China". Well, you know, the video that went viral on Facebook. The video shows a little girl ran over by a van. Not only did the driver didn't come down and help, he ran her over again. Another vehicle came and you'll think that at least this driver might has the heart to stop and help. But no. HE RAN HER OVER AGAIN. All these happened on a street with passerby's, 18 to be exact, who walked by doing nothing. As if it was perfectly normal that a little girl should lie in a pool of her own blood in the middle of the street.

The video is really upsetting and graphic. Those who hasn't check it out, you can see it HERE.

Of course, under communism ruling, the only few people that are left with hearts are those not brainwashed completely. In this case, a garbage collector saved the girl. Poor girl was in a brain dead state.

So this is where our society has come to.

I pray for you, Yueyue.

And I pray for the society as well. The so-called human society. Ironic isn't it? That us human, we call those animals 'animals' but really, even a dog would risk its own life to save its friend. (As shown HERE, who can forget this video??)

People don't show appreciation for things or people until they're gone. Michael Jackson, Heath Ledger, Anita Mui, and now.. Steve Jobs.

I woke up that morning of October 5th 2011 as per usual. Checked my phone messages, email, Instagram and Twitter. Of course, that's when I found out. I found out about Steve Jobs' death through an iPhone itself, like many others.

(After I told the boyfriend, he went "NOOoooOOoooOooooo... No more iPhone T_T")

(No worries people, Apple is still standing strong)

I personally admire Mr. Jobs for his determination and optimistic view of life. Well, he was born out of wedlock, put up for adoption at birth and dropped out of college for all we knew. But yet, he still became a legend. Truly inspiring.

And so, as a remembrance. Here is Steve Jobs delivering Stanford University’s 114th Commencement Address on June 12, 2005. Telling us 3 very meaningful story and telling us 'How to live before you die.'

When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: “If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you’ll most certainly be right.” It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

Here's my version of Mystery Maven.

And along with some brushes, blush, eyebrow pencil, black liquid eyeliner, lash curler, Q-tips, and wet tissue.

It's going to be easy as a pie! Ready? Here we go~! Excuse my squeaky/coarse voice due to the flu I'm currently having. Heehee.

So. Freaking. Annoyed. Right. Now. That. I. Just. Had. To. Type. Like. This.

Smart alec me, decided to 'reformat' my laptop by myself one day by moving everything from my C Drive into D Drive. By everything I really mean EVERYTHING.

So now my laptop's not functioning like it should. And of course I'm frustrated. Took me days to sort some things out on my own because I'm kiasu like this I will not give in and bring to a shop. GRRR!!!

So now things are kind of working, kind of not but the reason why I'm truly annoyed is because my freaking Adobe Photoshop is gone! Can you believe it? GONE! It's like me missing one kidney.

Thus I'm currently using this retarded version on web photoshop and it sucks. Proof above. Nothing is comparable to Adobe Photoshop.

GAAAAAAAAAAA.

Anyone wants to install it back on my laptop for me? :(

Attended the Maybelline workshop at Bangsar yesterday and boy it was a blow! I'll get to it very quickly but before that here's a picture of my face as usual,

Went there bare-faced to maximize benefits of the workshop! All pictures until stated will be this naked face so try not to be frightened and run. Well good things always come later anyway don't they? (;

Here we are!

In this workshop, Maybelline took the looks from catwalk to sidewalk. Greatly in collaboration and inspired by the NY Fashion Week, Maybelline recreated 4 fabulous but easy to achieve looks suitable for everyday use!

Well you can't find magic in this world but the closest thing you can find is make-up! Don't get me wrong, make up is not meant to be caked on and cover your natural beauty. Make up is used to enhance your beauty and to boost your confidence. A dab of foundation to cover that obvious spot on your face is the same as a dab of confidence. And confidence is what makes you sexy!

The lovely Amber Chia made an appearance too to give a short lesson. FYI, Amber Chia Academy is one of the sponsors for this workshop. And Amber has a really nice personality!

By the way, Happy Mid-Autumn Festival or more likely known as Mooncake Festival to all! I actually don't know when the exact date it falls on but I bought my mooncakes early last month which obviously was too early.

This year I bought these:

Starbucks mooncakes! Totally fell for the gimmick haha! Bought the Premium Set for around RM150. Four mooncakes inside but really I just wanted the box. Now the box is rotting away somewhere in my room.

Four flavors: Hazelnut Latte, Caramel Macchiato, Tiramisu, Green Tea Chocolate.

Forgotten which picture belongs to which flavor. I think this is Tiramisu.

IMHO, Starbucks mooncakes are.... meh. Even my favorite drink Caramel Macchiato drink tasted way different in the mooncake form. Nothing tastes similar to their names and all mooncakes, regardless of their names, tasted the same. Overly sweet and.... I'll leave it at there. Credits to pretty packaging though. It makes a really good gift.

I don't know why I'm even writing a mooncake review here. Haha. Ever heard of the saying. "One slice of mooncake is equivalent to one bowl of rice"? And I'm not even talking about the nutritional value! Hehe, so have fun growing sideways everyone! Don't worry, have fun first and lose it later.

Wasn't me! It was my camera cable which decided to run off somewhere and never return. Thus, I couldn't get hold of any pictures. Thus no proper updates. Chain reaction, you see. Tsk tsk, bad camera cable. But no worries as I just got a new one and here comes the pictures. Aren't I a real life saver? (;

It was event night and here we are doing a final check to see how we look like in pictures. I smell vanity.

Look for the night. The theme was "White and Gold" and I cheated by wearing a champagne color dress. Hey it's the closest color to gold anyway right??

Insecurities. When you know you aren't any better than another. You're not the prettier one, the richer one, the smarter one, the more successful one. If everyone has that kind of insecurities it will be endless. Yes you may be the prettiest in your town but you're definitely not the prettiest in the country. Yes Megan fox is really hot but there is another hotter than her. Bill gates was once the richest but not anymore. At the end of the day, it keeps going on. Never-ending.

So people tell you not to feel insecure. But being normal is one thing, different is another. Normal is when your spouse glances and comments on the attractive looking opposite sex that walks by. Different is when your spouse continuously obssess about one particular opposite sex for the longest time and that particular person remains in his or her mind at all time.

So they tell you you're one in a billion. Well that just means there's another 8 more of you in the world. Isn't it nice to know.

I guess these are the thoughts that drive people crazy. Wise man says, "Be contented. There is no point in comparing and live life in moderate. Then you shall be happy."

So one only can be truly happy if he or she conquers the mind, reaches a state of peace, experiences enlightenment. Silly isn't it? Now that you look at it? Everything you ever worked for, ever cared for is just nothing at the end of your life. And yet people make a big fuss out of petty things, chasing rainbows only to find cornflakes at the end of it.

So.. What really matters?

I guess being truly happy is the one main thing and truly happy doesn't mean the joy you get from buying a 100 pairs of nice shoes or dozens of Birkin bags. Things, material things are nothing at the end of the day. But still what will life be without them? So these are the things that keep us human busy living. Busy making a living. To provide a nice big house for the family etc.

But remember, while you keep yourselves busy living, don't lose yourselves in the process. Too many has overlooked the main purpose of life.

Hi there I have food again. *does a little somersault*

Another day at Ben's @ KLCC having breakfast or tea time for normal people. My favorite red velvet cake above, better than Daily Grind's I must say. Having this as breakfast is such a guilt trip.

Salmon potato salad. Fml I actually took one of those leaves and tried to eat it but it tasted super disgusting that I ended up spitting it out. Salmon was good though.

Spaghetti. Would you look at the amount of cheese(those yellow strips at the side)!

Next up, dinner at Louisiana Steakhouse @ Kelana Jaya. The other time was this: http://shinyeee.blogspot.com/2011/01/hungry-people-do-not-proceed.html and the rest of the times I didn't have a camera with me. So here are some other food on the menu:

Salmon biscuits. I love their smoked salmon, yumyum!

So I rather do it the DIY way.

My main course, Ben's Chocolate Cake. Hahahaha I know right, shhhhhh. I like to substitute my main course with dessert, otherwise my stomach will be too full for it.

Not a very big fan of Ben's food but the dessert menu certainly interests me. Mmmmm, can't wait to try them all. I think it's attractiveness is somehow got to do with the choice of font they use in the menu. I have a thing with fonts. My OCD perhaps, ugly fonts drive me nuts. Comic Sans for instance.

And of course, some camwhore action in the really nice washroom next to Ben's.

Coincidently a 'ponytail day' for us both.

S.O.X. All-Stars Hoops 2011 FINALE!

Early morning, feeling hyped up even though it was drizzling because it was finally the grand finale of S.O.X. All-Stars Hoops 2011. We arrived at Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort and the event was already going on.

It was held in MABA, this place is no stranger to basketballers and basketball lovers I believe.

So many banners decorated the place, you wouldn't miss it!

Got there just in time to watch the matches!

One question was running through my mind the entire time, that is, how on earth do these people jump so high??? Gosh! They make my toe-touches look like crawls.

Hola! It was a wonderful day for paragliding. I won't forget when because it was the day of Bersih rally in KL. So.. instead of joining the rest in roadblocks and traffic jams we went for this 'healthy' activity.

Picture above is actually a hill in Banting but we left after a while because there was hardly any wind. Kena conned and went for another long roadtrip to Seremban.

If you were to go paragliding, here's some word of advice. Wear shoes and bring mosquito repellent. Don't underestimate the power of mosquitoes, they come out even under the scorching hot sun T___________T

Anyway last weekend, we had a girls' night out to celebrate her birthday earlier.

Thumbs up for environment. Love those adjustable sport car seats and the iPad menu's. On second thought I take that back, think I'd much rather prefer manual menu, those iPads are lagging like mad. The best part of the environment would be, believe it or not,

the washroom.

To wash your hands, you have to turn those steering wheels for water. To dispense the soap, you have to step on those pedals below. Oh and the water comes out from exhaust pipes. Too many people aren't aware of this and they just put their hands below the pipes thinking that there is a sensor hahahaaha.

Last Saturday was a fun-filled and action-packed day. It was the S.O.X. All-Stars Drum & Dance Grand Finale competition at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara. I went there as soon as I woke up feeling all pumped up!

Not even 10AM the whole place was already hyped up. Ean and Zher were really pumping up the crowd!

Seated and all set for the show to begin.

Started off with some All-Girls Dance performances.

Along with some drumming action.

It wasn't even the final battle yet but all participants were already giving off-the-roof performances. I was seriously glued to my seat, want to go to the washroom also tahan saja.

Lunch time finally came! Xpax was kind enought to provide us lunch at Laundry.

Then the competition continued with drum battles! Oh my gosh drum battles are the shizz! They were all so intense to the point that the entire stage was shaking. We could all feel the heat from the floor!

All-Boys Dance performances. They were good! I can honestly tell you that a male cheerleader is stronger than any other males out there!

There were also other entertaining performances by really talented artistes like Jin Hackman, Altimet and the sexy Hunny Madu.

The panel of judges that day were a bunch of really awesome professional people. For the drum line performances the judges consist of a couple of outstanding members from BatteryHeadz Percussion and Wakaka Entertainment.

On the other hand, for cheer dance, the judges consist of some really talented and popular people from CHARM team.

And now here's the moment we're all waiting for. The final results!
